Reflective Thoughts

Psalm 56: 3-4

When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid.

There will be times when we may find ourselves feeling afraid.  In such times we need to know what to do with the fear.

In these verses of Scripture we are encouraged to boldly declare our trust in God despite our fears.

Our trust must be placed directly with God’s word and based on His revealed character and His promises to us. When the circumstances of life cause us to fear, we must not allow the fear to overwhelm us. Instead we must continue to place our trust in God and let the word of God direct us and be our guide.

We can trust Him and not give way to fear. As we continue to meditate on His word and meditate on His power and His sovereignty;  and as we continue to trust Him, we will find that like the psalmist we can have faith in the midst of our fears.

I encourage you to believe and trust in God’s word and declare who He is in your life.
For there is no greater power than that of our Lord.

May we be ever mindful of His care and concern for us and of the words He has spoken into our hearts. Trust Him when you are afraid and He will reward your trust.

I pray that His presence will bring peace and rest to your soul, enabling you to be still in your innermost being and declaring “ I will not fear - I trust in my God.”

Grace and Peace.
